Working on Mission: Remission has been a slow process for myself, Why? Well, I am still on a mission for remission myself. I am still undergoing chemotherapy treatments and suffer from side effects, the worst being fatigue.

Last October and November I began having yard sales to raise funds for the future of M:R. My mother -in-law Alice participated by donating various items to sell. We were left with a large amount of random faux flowers. So I began to play with the flowers, making bouqets and such and thought hmm?… I think I can sell these. I asked my mother who works at a hospital if maybe she could try and sell them to some of her co-workers. I sent her off with a box of bouquets and my mother came back with orders for more!

Still today I am arranging Christmas bouques. My living room looks like a forest and I am so happy to report that I think I am raising money. I say I think because I still have quite a few to sell. I have faith they will sell.

I am a 29 year old married (to the greatest man in the world) female. I am currently battling a cancer. Adenocarcinoma Stage IV. Diagnosed on November 27,2002 which happened to be my 27th birthday and just 7 weeks after my marriage to Cary. I have made several attempts to return to school but the treaments I under go…well unfortunately have not allowed me to finish my semesters. I still will continue to try and educate myself in a way that I can give back to those who are also suffering from cancer. I made my very first baby step towards my mission in life by starting a group with Flickr.com. The group name is Too Sexy For My Hair and it is a place for anyone that has been touched by cancer to come celebrate, honor, or remember life.
